Autumn Lullaby

Autumn is here
in the leaves
painting the mountains
in a master stroke,
full of colours.

Butterflies
flutter their wings,
chasing the fluttering leaves
as they fall
to the ground

Autumn leaves
as winter arrives
ruffling the dried leaves
on the green grass.

Cover me yet
with the fallen leaves
until spring revives
the barren trees
then I'll spread my wings

  1. Beautiful! One can picture the whole breathtaking changes taking place in the poem itself. The scenic view magnifies the poem even more.
